Embracing the Future

When Peggy Martin, TFI Family Services' CEO, started out in Kansas child welfare in 1974, reports were typed by Secretaries and carbon paper was a normal office staple. Mail was always delivered by the Post Office and communicating by phone meant you were stationary. Fast forward to the new millennium and the use of computers has vastly reshaped how organizations communicate and share information. At TFI Family Services we believe strongly in education for our employees and the families that we serve. For this reason, TFI Family Services has developed their own internal computer training lab in order to train their personnel in Microsoft Office programs and TFI's own software program, FACES.

With our investment in a twelve computer station training facility in Topeka, TFI Family Services is now offering the education opportunities to other organizations, corporations and government entities. The TFI PC courses take you from basic to advanced skills quickly and easily, with handouts provided for reference. Save time, money and pave the road for increased productivity in your organization by making the most of your existing software.

In 2007, TFI expanded their computer training program, with the help of a grant, by adding a new four station computer lab in Emporia. This also broke new ground in TFI's ability to offer their computer lab to the kids.
