TFI Family Services is one of the largest foster care agencies in Kansas, providing direct services to 25 counties in southeast and south central Kansas, and sponsoring hundreds more Foster/Resource parents throughout the state. Currently, TFI Family Services has over 500 foster care providers, covering the majority of Kansas. Our agency realizes its responsibility for providing quality care for the nearly 900 children in our Foster Care Program. To ensure quality care, TFI Family Services provides the following services to our Foster/Resource parents:

  • 24 hour on-call Social Worker

  • Informative monthly newsletter

  • Support meeting in your area

  • Free ongoing training

  • Multi-media resource library

  • 26 offices located throughout Kansas

  • Respite care

  • Professional and consistent personal Case Manager/Social Worker

  • Empathetic family advocates to assist with day-to-day foster care needs

  • In-home behavioral health services with no waiting periods

  • Foster/Resource parent Liability Insurance, a unique new benefit which includes personal liability coverage should you encounter any legal action or property damage as a result of providing foster care.

By focusing our attention on the families and working closely with other agencies, TFI Family Services has created an innovative Foster Care Program which offers new service opportunities for Kansas youth who otherwise might have little hope in finding permanency or independent living skills.

What makes our Foster Care Program different?

TFI Family Services has built its foster care foundation by developing strong relationships with our foster families through exceptional communication and support.  Foster families are our partners in the very important task of taking care of children, and we believe that they deserve open lines of communication and a dedicated support system. All Farm foster families are assigned a case worker to act as a personal contact for resolving issues and answering questions.  They can be that person to reach out to in the middle of the night or assist in the issues of licensing and training.
