From the CEO and President...
When we are tasked
with the awesome responsibility of raising a child, we must always remember to
make sure we provide our children with the necessary tools for them to be able
to succeed in life and for them to sincerely believe they can continually reach
for the stars.
As one of the largest
family foster care agencies, TFI Family Services is dedicated to ensuring that our
children have the most vital resource they need the most--permanency in their
lives. That means having a family to call their own. This may
include being reunited with his or her own family, being adopted or being able
to grow up with relatives.
While visiting the
different pages of this website, you will see that we have celebrated many
successes with our children. These important milestones of achievement to
make this a better world for our youngsters were made possible by our caring
foster families, our dedicated professional staff, our giving donors, our
unselfish volunteer board, committees and advisory councils.
After being awarded
the Foster Care and Reintegration Services contract for Region One, the number
one goal for TFI Family Services was to bring together talented individuals
throughout Kansas that could work together as a seamless team internally and
externally on behalf of the the children. We fondly call ourselves the
"Farm Family" and we collectively believe in doing what makes sense for children
and families.
We have been equally
blessed by not only the ability to attract and keep top-notch professionals, but
we also continue to lead the field in the recruitment and support of our vast
numbers of foster care families throughout the State. Our foster care
program has been recognized as a model for others to follow, which was evident
when the Kansas Association for Foster and Adoptive Families named us the Agency
of the Year in 2001.
Together with all of
our partners, we truly have found the winning combination to make sure our
children have the consistency and stability they so desperately need to make
their important journey though life. We are all dedicated to providing our
children with the tools they need to possess, so they have that inner twinkle
that will allow them to shine, love, and grow from childhood into adulthood.
