Program
Philosophy
Behavioral health services are focused responses to the
needs of children, adults and families. Services
available through the Behavioral Health Department of
TFI Family Services are specifically designed to help
clients work on solutions utilizing a strengths-based
approach. This approach focuses on empowering clients
toward meeting their goals.
Clients are active participants in the treatment
process. Active participation means that clients help
determine the treatment interventions and when
appointments are scheduled. When possible, TFI Family
Services provides behavioral health services during
evening and weekend hours. Services may also be
available in the family home when clinically
appropriate.
Behavioral health services provided by TFI Family
Services emphasize family involvement in the treatment
process. In many situations, the issues that are going
on with a specific individual can affect the entire
family. Thus, involving the entire family to find
strengths to address needs provides opportunities for
the entire family to take ownership of the issues and
solutions.
