FAMILYBASE - A SRS Community Services Grant Project

FamilyBase is a grant that targets children at moderate risk for out-of-home placement. Grant staff will coordinate with SRS, Law Enforcement, and Juvenile Intake to ensure that a child is protected and safe during a time of family crisis. Grant Staff will assist families in identifying the community resources and how they can best be utilized to resolve the crises and avoid out-of-home placement for the children. FamilyBase staff believe that whenever possible, parents are the best resources to raise healthy, productive children and there are times that parents need support in order to do this.

All the services provided by FamilyBase are free of charge to the families serviced.

This project is funded by the Department of Social Rehabilitation Services through a grant from the Community Services Fund. TFI was awarded the FamilyBase grant for Kansas Counties of: Allen, Anderson, Bourbon, Cherokee, Crawford, Labette, Linn, Lyon, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson, and Woodson.
